We wanted to make our sign in process as secure and simple to use as possible. All sign in methods have pros and cons. We feel 'sign in with email' strikes the right balance for an app used while travelling.

What if I don't receive a sign in email?

Check your spam folder. If you have not received the sign in email after a few minutes, check you have use the correct email address. The login email will be sent by noreply@tripkist.com, and have the subject "Sign in to Tripkist."

How long do I have to sign in?

The sign in link expires after 15 minutes.

Why is there no password?

Requiring users to securely create and manage passwords is problematic for users and websites. Nobody likes arcane password complexity rules. And we know data breaches can occur when simpler passwords are allowed.

What if someone gains access to my email account?

If someone gains access to your email account, they can gain access to your Tripkist account (along with all of your other accounts). This would still be true if we used password logins (password resets are typically via email). The best practice is to take your email providers advice to secure your inbox.
